MAC hide and unhide selection problems

Hi everyone,

I am working on MAC. I created two objects: deformable and rigid. I want to hide one selected object: select object (rigid)->edit->hide selection. Some time it works, some time it does not. What is the reason?
I do have not standard Mac mouse. So, when I click on the right side or left side of the mouse after selecting the object, nothing pops out for options to choose. So, I had to go to menu, also annoying.

Hi NataCalc,

There is a keyboard shortcut (press the letter H) to hide an object or part that has been selected.
