    Parametric Sweep

    Hello,

I am really sorry; I am brand new to FEBio. I was wondering if there was an easy way to create a parametric sweep in FEBio using either FEBio Studio or via XML. If I have a cantilever beam, is there an easy way to compute the stress vs strain curve at three different elastic moduli for instance?

Thank you and I apologize if this question has already been asked.

    Hi,

If the analysis is highly nonlinear (large deformations requiring multiple time steps to apply the boundary conditions), your option is to set up your model to load and unload three times, and to associate a load curve with the elastic modulus, which changes its value in a stepwise manner at the start of each loading-unloading phase.

If the analysis is linear (small deformations, such that the problem can be solved in a single time step), you can apply the load once and change the elastic modulus using a load curve, at the end of the loading phase.

    Best,

    Gerard

      Hello Dr. Ateshian,

I understand. This helps a lot with running a bunch of modifications to the simulation at once.

      Thank you!
