I have been trying to create finer mesh at a specific location in an imported stl geometry. But I could not find the proper methods in Preview to do that. How should I approach? Thank you.
I also tried to mesh in other platform like ANSYS and GMESH. BUt I could not import the mesh file in Preview. What can be the solution for this? Thank you.
In FEBioStudio (PreView's successor) we have some ways to refine a volume mesh locally, but not a surface mesh. Since STL is only a surface mesh you need to generate a volume mesh first. Or was your intention to locally refine the surface mesh?
You should be able to import the GMesh. I suggest to give it a try with FEBioStudio. If it still fails, please send me the file, and I'd be happy to look into it.
Cheers,
Steve
