Tutorial for running FEBio from within PreView on MAC

To run FEBio within PreView on the Mac, follow these steps:
    1. Download the Mac version of FEBio and move the FEBio folder from the Downloads folder to your Applications folder.
    2. Launch PreView and create a new model, or load/import it from file. If new, export the model file (for example, test.feb) into any desired folder in your directory, such as MyFebFiles within your Documents folder.
    3. Within PreView, select Tools->Run (or hit the F5 function key while also holding down the fn key)
    4. In the pop-up window titled Run Project, enter the following:
      • file name: test.feb
      • working folder: /Users/username/Documents/MyFebFiles
      • command: /Applications/FEBio/febio.osx -i
where username should be your home folder's name.
    5. Click on Run. If everything was done right you should get a pop-up window with NORMAL TERMINATION. If you get an ERROR TERMINATION check the logfile for this run (test.log) in MyFebFiles. If there is no logfile, review these instructions and check your syntax.

Note 1: It is okay to have spaces in your directory path and/or file names.
Note 2: If the run takes a long time and you would like to monitor its progress, launch the Console application within your Applications/Utilities folder. (This is a standard Mac application that comes with your operating system).
