Thread: Triphasic models

    Default Triphasic models

    Dear All,

    I noticed that there are two example provided in FEBio: tr01.feb and tr02.feb.

    There is any possibility to have more examples? especially about unconfined compression (with a non-pervious platen)? The example tr02.feb includes an ellipsoidal fiber distribution, could someone provide one without fibers?

    Thanks a lot

    Hi Leo,

    If you want to run tr02 with a triphasic material that does not include an ellipsoidal fiber distribution, just replace

    Code:
    			<solid type="solid mixture">
    			  <solid type="neo-Hookean">
    			    <density>1</density>
    			    <E>1e-6</E>
    			    <v>0</v>
    			  </solid>
    			  <solid type="ellipsoidal fiber distribution">
    			    <ksi>4,4,4</ksi>
    			    <beta>2.5,2.5,2.5</beta>
    			  </solid>
    			</solid>
    with, e.g.,
    Code:
    			<solid type="neo-Hookean">
    			    <density>1</density>
    			    <E>1.0</E>
    			    <v>0</v>
    			</solid>
    Best,

    Gerard
