    Biphasic Confined Compression Creep

    This example illustrates the classical confined compression problem for a biological tissue modeled with the biphasic theory. A comparison is provided between the output from FEBio and the analytical solution for this problem. Follow this example to help you understand some of the challenges of modeling tissues using the poroelastic material implemented in FEBio.

      This tutorial was created in 2008 and is now outdated. I will update it and post a new version soon.

        This is an updated version of the Biphasic Confined Compression Creep tutorial, which should run under the current version of FEBio and PreView (as of August 7, 2010).

          About the prv model file, I have a question. I noticed the biphasic material parameters set in this file: solid volume fraction and Poisson's ratio are all set to 0. I wonder if there's something wrong with this biphasic material?
          Thanks!

            Attached please find another update of this biphasic creep tutorial, which uses the current versions of PreView and FEBio.

            Best,

              Hi;
              Thanks for the tutorial;
              I am wondering if you tried to develop the same model for a microindentation test with a spherical tip!.... or if you can guide me to find a way to do it using Febio (since I am a new memeber )

              Thanks in advance ;
