    Troubleshooting Parameter Optimization

Success loading plugin custom_material.so (version 1.0.0)
    Reading file abc.feb ...SUCCESS!

The above result is what I get when I try to run my optimization.
The result would be understandable if this change in the material parameter from 0.99 to 0.99199 caused e.g. some negative jacobian preventing febio from reaching a solution but when I run abc.feb by itself (with either of these parameter sets from iteration 1 or 2) it terminates normally.

searching through some old threads it seems at one point there was a bug where some parameters were not updated properly in between iterations (https://forums.febio.org/archive/index.php/t-643.html). Is it possible a similar thing could be happening here? Let me know if you have any other suggestions

    Hi,

I would like to try to reproduce this issue on my end. This might make it easier for me to track down the issue. Is it possible to send me the plugin code, as well as the model and optimization input files? You may send it to my email (steve dot maas at utah dot edu).

    Thanks,
