    How to get outpu?

I compressed a cube and wanted to take the Cauchy stress from it, when I checked for output I got MAX MIN and AVERAGE stress for z-stress.
But in my experimental data i only have one stress so which should I consider MAX or MIN or AVERAGE for comparing FEBio data with experimental data?

    Hi,

In general the stress will be a position dependent field, which will be difficult to measure experimentally. I suspect that the average will be closer to what you would measure experimentally, but it's difficult to say. How did you obtain the experimental value? Perhaps by measuring a force and dividing by the area? If so, I suggest that you replicate this process on the computational model. You can output the nodal reaction forces, sum them all up, and then divide by area.

    Cheers,
