    Fiber orientation at the interface

    Hi,

I have a problem correctly defining fiber orientation at layer interface:

For example, I have two layers and each layer has 5 layers of mesh.

Now, I want one layer has fiber +30 degree and the other -30 degree. At the layer interface, for tow layers of mesh (one from each layer) the fiber orientation angles will cancel each other and result in ~0 degree fiber orientation.

Any way to deal with this?

    Hi,

From the images it seems your geometry is nearly cylindrical. If so, you can try the "cylindrical" fiber orientation. Please see section 4.1.1. of the online FEBio User's manual.
