Hello I have a quick question. Does FEBIO have fiber features for the "biphasic" material, just like it has the fiber option for the "neo-Hookean" material? Because everytime I try to run my code, I always get a zero diagonal error.
Hey Steve,
I followed the tutorial but got stuck at the very last part because I do not have the "use most points" option when editing the step. Therefore I cannot edit the curve and if I run it without this modification, it takes ages and it gives warnings. And when I opened your file, it says the same, the load controller 2 is not used.
Thanks,
Laura
I assume you are using the latest version of FEBio Studio? If so, the option to "use must points" is not there anymore, and the way to define must-points is to simply assign a load curve to the max stepsize (dtmax) parameter. Please try this:
1. After setting up the rest of the model, open the Curve Editor (menu Tools\Curve Editor).
2. In the left panel, locate the dtmax parameter (e.g. Model>Steps>Step1>time_stepper>dtmax).
3. On the right panel, click the New... button and select load curve. Click OK. This will assign the load curve to the dtmax parameter and effectively enable must-points.
4. Edit the load curve as needed by defining the time/value points.
Let me know if that worked.
Best,
Steve
