Unable to view contact pressure
Unable to view contact pressure

Hello, I've been having issues viewing the contact pressure (or contact force) in PostView. I have a very simple displacement controlled contact model with 2 bones coming into contact, and it's running to normal completion. All other outputs are correctly displayed. I'm using facet-to-facet sliding with two-pass turned off, as I've seen some other issues in viewing results with two-pass on. I imagine I'm making a simple mistake, so is there a common fix to try?

Thank you,
Lance

I may have found my answer. It seems that .feb files exported using the 2.0 spec rather than the 2.5 spec correctly show contact pressure in PostView.

Hi, I'm having the same issue except that I'm exporting my parts using 2.0 and nothing is shown when I select contact pressure.

Hi lancef, OJMorgan - it sounds like you need to add a line to your .feb file to write the contact pressure to the plotfile database. You can do this in PreView or you can eidt the files directly.
Please see section 3.18.2 of the FEBio User's Manual entitled, "Plotfile".

Best regards,

Jeff Weiss
