Hello everyone,
I am currently working on a torsional analysis as part of my research on brain tissue mechanics. I have successfully set up the simulation environment, but I am facing challenges with processing the log files to extract stress and strain data, specifically shear stress and shear strain.
I attempted to extract shear stress and shear strain in the XY plane/directions, but the resulting data does not align with findings from existing literature and is quite incomprehensible. I am at a crossroads and would appreciate any guidance or suggestions.
1. Is extracting shear stress and shear strain data the right approach for a torsional analysis in FEBio and Gibbon, or should I consider a different set of variables?
2. Alternatively, would it be more insightful to focus on extracting data for torque versus angular displacement or shear strain?
3. If so, could anyone provide guidance or resources on how to effectively extract or calculate torque and angular displacement data from FEBio and Gibbon outputs?
I am eager to overcome this hurdle and would greatly value any advice or insights from the community. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!
Warm regards,
