    Issue with Graphing Window

    Hello,

For the past week or so I have not been able to get the graphing window to show up in postview. When I clicking the graph button, nothing happens. I was able to use it when I first downloaded FEBio, so I'm a little lost as to why it stopped working. So far I have tried deleting and redownloading FEBio, as well as downloading previous versions of FEBio. So far nothing has worked.

If anyone has suggestions on what the issue may be and how to fix them I would appreciate it!

    Thank you,
    Dylan Hu

    Hi Dylan,

When you say "PostView" do you mean FEBioStudio? Or do you actually mean the old PostView software? If you are still using PostView, there is a possibility that an operating system update on your computer has invalidated the (old) version of PostView you are using. I strongly recommend that you download the latest FEBioStudio from FEBio.org to find out.

    Best,

    Gerard

        Hi Dylan,

FEBio Studio stores the location of graph windows, and it is possible that somehow this data got corrupted and that graph windows are being placed outside the screen.
The only way this at the moment is to do a clear all the stored settings. You can do this as follows:
        1. Open a Windows Terminal (or shell or similar if you are on a different OS).
        2. Navigate using the "cd" command to the folder where FEBio Studio is installed (e.g. on Windows C:\Program Files\FEBioStudio2\bin).
(2.a. Alternatively, on Windows 11 you can use Explorer to find the location of the FEBio Studio executable, then right-click in Explorer and select the "Open in terminal" option).
        3. Start FEBioStudio from the command line, using the command:

        Code:
        .\FEBioStudio2.exe -reset
This will start FEBio Studio as if it was the first time you ever opened it. Keep in mind that this also removes any other settings you may have changed (e.g. custom launch configurations, list of recently opened files, custom background color settings).
Please give that a try and let me know if that solved the problem.

          Hello,

I had the same problem with FEBio Studio 2.7.0. The solution with ".\FEBioStudio2.exe -reset" works for me.

          Thank you.

          Best regards,
          Agnes
