Creating multiple parts for an object in FEBio

    Hello,

I hope this message finds you well and happy new year!

I am struggling with a problem in the FEBio modeling.

I wanna divide my object into three different connected parts with different mesh densities. I used to do this by selecting "editable mesh" in the edit tab and then using the "partition" option. However, this time that I am trying to do this process it makes my whole object as one part and I cannot make multiple parts for my object. I cannot make 3 parts by using "Create new partition" and "Assign to partition" options in the partition menu.

I would highly appreciate it if you please let me know how I can do the process of dividing my object into three different connected parts with different mesh densities. .

I appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from you soon, best

    Hi,
To send an update about my question, I could make multiple parts by selecting elements for one of the parts then click Partition in the Mesh tab. However, the point is that this partition method is based on meshing whole object by exactly same meshes and I want different mesh densities for each part (same mesh type with different densities). I would highly appreciate it if anyone help me how to do this.
