    Importing multiple-part LS-DYNA model

    Hello,
I had a question about importing a multiple part LS-Dyna model. When I do so, I find that it is one big part under geometry, but that I get separate element sets for the individual parts. However, I'm not able to assign different materials for each of the element sets. Could you explain how to assign different materials to parts imported from LS-Dyna? Thank you!

    Hi,

You can use the partition feature under the mesh tools for elements. Once you select each element set and partition them into separate parts, you can assign different materials to each part.

    Best,
    Michael
