Hi,
My XPLT result file is about 3000MB. When I use PostView to open it, the computer show me" the PostView is stopping work". How do I open a large XPLT file?
1. Make sure you're using the 64-bit version of PostView with a 64-bit OS and have sufficient unallocated memory (i.e. RAM).
2. Try to make the xplt file smaller. If you are storing a solution at every time step (which is the default), try setting the plot_level to PLOT_MUST_POINTS in the .feb file (in the Control section). You will have to define a must point curve for dtmax for this to work. This will let you control how many time steps are stored in the xplt file independently of the number of time steps are required for convergence. Discarding the time steps that you don't need can greatly reduce the file size.
If these options don't help, the problem might need developer attention.
