    contact definition

    Hi everybody,
I just started using Preview and noticed that I can't completely introduce my contact problem. I checked the examples and it seems I need to have the surface as "named selections" so that I could just assign them to the contact problem I define. But since I dunno how to introduce the surfaces, my FEBio input file is lacking of the adjacent contact surfaces data.
Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Reza,

You make named selections by first selecting the surface you want to name. Click the surface selection tool on the main toolbar and then click on your surface. It should turn blue. Then, from the Edit menu, select "Name selection" to assign a name to your surface. Now you can choose this surface as either the master or slave surface in your contact definition. Note that you'll need to make two named selections, one for the slave and one for the master surface. Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Steve.

I kida thought it should also be accesible by right clicking on the named selection on the drop down menu.
