    Fluid pressure convergence tolerance

Attempting to run a poroelastic model, I notice that my fluid pressure convergence norm would not decrease enough to complete the first time step. As a stopgap measure, I thought I could adjust the tolerance on fluid pressure to make it converge more easily. There are FEBio parameters to adjust tolerance on displacements, energy, residuals, and line search, but no parameter for fluid pressure. Even setting all other parameters to zero, the problem never converges because of the fluid pressure.

So is there any way of adjusting tolerance on fluid pressure convergence, or is it hardcoded in?

    Hi Randy,

The pressure convergence tolerance is defined with <ptol> which has a default value of 0.01.

    Cheers,

    Steve.
